design with staying power
Heart Magazine
From its earliest vision, Heart needed a brand with longevity. As founders, we weren’t just creating a magazine — we were building a lifestyle platform with aspirations for events, merchandise, and global reach. Our audience of women wanted something different from the glossy, overproduced media they were used to: they wanted connection, authenticity, and stories that felt real.
The Approach
We were there from the very beginning, shaping the brand from the ground up. Our role extended far beyond design — it was about building a creative ecosystem that could sustain a movement.
Key steps included:
Sketching hand-drawn logos and developing brand concepts that captured authenticity and modernity.
Launching a Kickstarter campaign that built buzz and secured early support.
Assembling an editorial and design team, curating writers, and coordinating photography across the globe.
Designing and producing the full magazine layout, overseeing printing, shipping, and distribution.
Building the digital presence — from social media storytelling to brand voice.
The Solution
The final brand identity was polished yet approachable, consistent but flexible. A monogram crest logo with a wreath reflected their desire to touch every corner of a woman’s life - from their innermost thoughts to the welcome mat at their front door. Every touchpoint — from the magazine pages to Instagram grids to packaging — reinforced the sense of a community-driven, aspirational lifestyle brand.
The Impact
Heart grew into more than a magazine; it became a cult-followed lifestyle brand. Women around the world connected with its authenticity and aspirational aesthetic, finally seeing media that felt fresh, different, and real. Because the brand was designed with staying power from day one, Heart continued to evolve without losing its essence.
